Partners

We work with our sustainability partner, Greener Fields Together, to share our commitment to continuous improvement. We do it through sustainability assessments and regular third-party audits to track and measure ongoing improvements. We support, promote and our efforts to operate more sustainably.

• At a National Level

  National farms have sustained our nation for decades; providing fresh, nutritious, high-quality, safe produce year-round. Produce Source Partners and Greener Fields Together are committed to accountability and continuous sustainability improvements in crop production, harvesting, processing and packaging.

• At a Local Level

  Local farm partners have access to education and food safety certification assistance and, through our established distribution network, a safe, secure way to get their products to market.

• At a Retail Level

  Retail locations, restaurants, and other foodservice operators are assured that the produce they’re serving to their guests or selling to their customers – whether from local or national farms – is raised in the most safe and respectful way possible.

Food Safety & Local Farms

GAPs (Good Agricultural Practices) Certification. These audits are focused on best agricultural practices to verify that fruits and vegetables are produced, packed, handled, and stored in the safest manner possible to minimize risks of food safety hazards.

GAPs and Harmonized GAPs are part of the curriculum offered to farmers. We hold workshops for farmers to stay up-to-date with current trends and regulations. GAPs Certification is required of all farms that provide fresh produce to Produce Source Partners.

Reporting & Performance

We participate in annual energy and waste surveys. Our consumption is reported, monitored and critiques are given, areas for improvement are designated.
